Sandbanks in Pictures

Bethany and I woke up this morning without much to do, so we decided to go to Sandbanks provincial park.  Driving there involves a ferry, and the ferry comes at a quater to the hour and a quarter after.  I wasn't sure how long it would take to drive to the ferry, so we didn't try to time it right.  The most we would have to wait would be half an hour, so I figured that wouldn't be too bad.  Well, it worked out great because we got there at:
Bethany didn't exactly get to enjoy the whole experience of the ferry because she was:

First we did this:

And then we had lunch.
I paid through the nose, but good for them for charging what they can get.  Sandbanks is a pretty popular spot in the summer.

After lunch we went to a different part of the beach.

Sandbanks is apparently not a very popular spot on a weekday at the beginning of June.

That water looks chilly.  I think I'll sit here and read the paper instead.

Buried in the sand.  Doesn't everyone do this?

You buried me in the sand.  Seriously?  Does everyone do this?
Then it was time to go home.  This time the ferry left on the hour and half hour, and we got there at:
Couldn't have planned it better if I'd tried.

And once again Bethany was:

It was a great day!  And how sandy were we when we got home?  Even after a bath, Bethany still had some up her nose and in her ears.  :)

  1. Funny to see Bethany buried in the sand. She doesn't seem upset at all. She's very easygoing about everything and let you and/or Phil do things to her without care, doesn't she?

  2. Yes, I'd say Bethany is pretty easy-going, Leah. She doesn't exactly love it if you try and feed her ground-up chicken. But that's a small exception.

Jess, thanks for being such a great photographer, blogger, and Mom!
