As I'm going through the grocery store, I put the items in the basket of the stroller. Then I load them from the basket onto the conveyor belt, and once they're paid for, back into the basket of the stroller for the walk home.
Yesterday after getting home and putting away all the groceries, I thought, "Hey, I thought I bought a Mars bar. Where is it?"
I looked in the stroller and it was shoved way to the back of the basket. I thought, "Oh man, I must have not noticed it back there and not put it up onto the conveyor belt when I was paying. I'll have to go back to the store tonight when Phil gets home and pay for it." I even checked my receipt to see if there was anything that looked like it could have been a Mars bar.
So that's what I did. I took the chocolate bar back to the store. Went back through the line. Paid for it. Came home. But then I decided to double check my original receipt again.
There it was. Sokoladinis. 1.55. I know that word. And I know that's approximately the right price. Guess I didn't see that the first time I checked.
So I've now paid for my (non)stolen chocolate bar twice.
You're welcome for the funny story.
