Little Zoo, Big Zoo, and a Couple In-Betweens

On Saturday we went to the Klaipeda Mini Zoo.  It was great!  I'm surprised I hadn't heard of it until a few days ago.  It's only about 15 minutes away.  They have a good assortment of large cats, although the variety of other animals wasn't so great.

There were other animals too, but I was too busy nervously avoiding the deer-type creatures that were allowed to roam free, to take more pictures.

On Tuesday we went to a much larger zoo in Kaunas, (it's Spring Break so Phil could get the day off), but in between:

- a couple of "normal" pics.

It was about a 2 hour drive to Kaunas on Tuesday morning, and before hitting the zoo we went to McDonald's for lunch.  Bonus - it has a PlayPlace.

The zoo was pretty deserted (it's not Spring Break for little kids; just for LCC) and the weather was great (coats unzipped, no hats needed, not shivering after a couple hours outside).  Feel free to be jealous.

There was an indoor area with reptiles, birds, and fish.

Water break.

Next up: date night tonight, the end of Spring Break, and Pie Day on Saturday.  :)

  2. Glad you guys had a great time at both of the zoos!

I love seeing the picture of Bethany & Andrew looking out the window together. Cute!

I also love the picture of you Jess with the kids.

Alright Bethany that she scores a basket! Did Andrew have his turn?
