Odds and Ends

Playing hide and seek:

Having a "picnic" lunch:
The dining room table is piled with stuff to take to Value Village.  I'm in a purging mood today - if we're not putting it in storage and we're not taking it with us to Lithuania, it's outta here!

You know you live in Canada when it's May and the gas station is still selling

Well, we'd better go.  We're off to Canadian Tire, the bank, a friend`s place, and to try to wrangle Phil`s bike out of the bike shed.

ps - Whose idea was it to build a bike shed in which there are no lights or windows, and on which the door automatically swings shut if you don`t prop it open?  Drag the bike down off a hook in the pitch black?  It's either that or prop the door open with my shoe...or with Bethany in her carseat...hmm, I knew she'd come in handy one of these days!  :)

  1. If it is Phil's bike, why don't you get him to get the bike out of the shed instead of you going to all that trouble?

Cute to see Bethany under the blanket. Wasn't she scared or she enjoyed playing "Hide and Seek" game?

    1. Well, I just figure since Phil's at work all day, and I'm "at home" all day (yeah right), it makes sense for me to do most of the "around home" chores, so that when Phil is home in the evenings we can just hang out as a family. Bethany did a great job propping the door open with her carseat, so it actually wasn't that much trouble.

Surprisingly, I think Bethany was kind of indifferent to being under the blanket. We pulled it off, and she was just sitting there with a normal look on her face.

  2. Thanks for all the homemaking stuff you do, Jess! Also, speaking of Bethany's "usefulness", don't forget how helpful she is at squeezing the air out of the air mattress when we're done with it. :)
