I just finished reading a novel called A Painted House by John Grisham. I really liked it. It's about a boy growing up on a cotton farm in Arkansas in the 1950's. My only complaint is that it was a little slow-moving, especially when I'm more used to reading suspense novels. This was one of the first John Grisham books I've read, and I'll probably go with another of his for my next read. I think I'll pick one up before we head out for Christmas.
In other news, I've noticed a couple times today that Bethany will stop fussing not just when I pick her up, but when I start to walk towards her to pick her up, because she knows what's coming. I guess she has me all figured out already! :)
And in conclusion, I'll give you a piece of advice, free of charge. If, say, for example, you're swimming at a public pool with your baby, and if, say, for example, your baby spits up (quite an impressive amount) in the water, just dance around in circles with the baby to swirl the water until the spit up disappears. No one will be the wiser.

Bethany is smart! She is started to get to know her mommy well. Does she do the same thing to her dad knowing he's coming to pick her up too? And does Bethany smile after you came to pick her up to say thank you for coming to get me?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that Bethany's figured out that her Dad can't feed her - only her Mom can do that - but I think that she does often quiet down when she sees either one of us. Sometimes she just needs to know that her parents haven't forgotten her.
