Usually the things that will get Bethany to smile or laugh are things that surprise her, like a sudden noise or sudden movement. So this morning as she lay contentedly in her crib, I decided to say good morning by jumping suddenly through the bedroom door, in hopes of eliciting some display of delight.
Well, it didn't work. She was frightened to tears.
Oops.
And now she would really like to be sleeping but I'm keeping her awake so she'll be tired later. She has a hearing test this afternoon and they want her to be sleeping for the test.
For now we're passing the time until we leave for the test by listening to tapes that Dad and I made when I was a kid, which I've now transferred onto the new docking station.
I guess at some point we'd also better blow up the air mattress, or else Grandmom and Granddad will be sleeping on the floor! :)
