Parade

Today Klaipeda held a parade for the city's 6 post-secondary institutions, to commemorate the first day of school.  Phil got to carry the Canadian flag for LCC.

The kids and I were a little late.  This was our view from campus as the processional towards the parade's starting point left without us.  If you look closely, you'll see a tiny red dot right in the middle of the photo.  That's Phil (in his red Queen's regalia), coming back for us.  :)

After conferring with Phil, we sent him back to catch up with the processional (and his flag!), and the kids and I cheated and took the bus right to the parade's ending point.
Then we watched and waited for everyone to arrive.

"Is Daddy coming yet?"

"I don't really care if Daddy comes, as long as I have something to chew on."

Here they come!  One of the other schools came first, (dressed all in blue)...

...followed by LCC (with all the flags).

Here's a video.  The Canadian flag is near the back, and if you follow the flagpole straight down, you'll see one handsome flag bearer (still dressed all in red).

True north strong and free.
